受賞コメントThe Dashahe Sports & Cultural Center adopts a "fold" design concept, using compression and elevation to create a continuous architectural form inside and out. This approach softens the rigidity of the structure, generating flexible spaces and traffic flows that deviate from tradition.
Standardized signage systems prove insufficient here due to unique spatial conditions, requiring high adaptability in information combinations.
The design draws inspiration from Tanglang Mountain’s undulating layers, mirroring its fluidity in a light, elegant form that harmonizes with the architecture. The arrow symbol, embedded as a cut-and-fold feature in the wall, maintains readability while aligning with the space’s curves, creating a subtle dialogue.
This restrained elegance respects spatial language while offering intricate details. Simplicity in visuals conceals advanced craftsmanship and meticulous design-construction coordination.
Unlike conventional factory-built installations, the signage system was integrated early, pre-installing power, templates, and mounts to seamlessly blend with walls and finishes, ensuring the design’s intent.
With a unified design language, we craft a dynamic spatial symphony. Every visitor experiences the space’s unique aesthetics, enjoying enhanced comfort and convenience.
作品意図The signage echoes the building's "pleated" design language, adapting to the flowing space with a "cut-and-flip" style for clear and interesting directions, reflecting the surrounding mountains' layered beauty. It was closely coordinated with construction in advance, embedding structures in walls to achieve seamless integration, creating a harmonious spatial experience.
