受賞コメントSDA Award is a very professional design award. I am very pleased to win the Silver Prize of 57th Japan Sign Design Award.
The prize we won is the signage design for Luna Mountain Resort. Luna Mountain Resort is a hot spring resort located in the hills of southern China.
The raised information carved on the brass and wood shows a soft and natural transition with the backplane. The soft bulge is the mountain that been walked through in summer and the trace of the spring flowing and the response to the earth.
Information looks like being washed out of rock by running water. The fine texture generated by the carving is retained. Observing nearby it reminds people of contour line and the groove marks left by flowing water. These are the beauty and power in nature that makes people feel peace and calm.（Yang He）

リゾートのサインとしては少し重くて硬質的な印象を受けるが、それは真鍮を削り出した物質的な存在感にあり、情報が緩やかに盛り上がる真鍮のサインが効果的に作用していることが評価された。サインデザインは機能だが、装飾ではなく空間の本質的な意図を視覚化している意思だと言える仕事である。このリゾートの印象は、上質で豊かな時間を過ごすことが出来る感じがする。
